Our Founder's Wind-Down Routine for Better Sleep

Your nighttime routine is important. It signals to your brain and body that it's time to wind down and transition to sleep. While there are a lot of doctor-recommended ways to do this, you get to choose what it looks like!

For our founder, Arielle, a little bit of TV before bed is a non-negotiable, but she makes sure to create an environment that supports healthy sleep all night long.

STEP 1

"I prepare my room so it's a sleepy oasis. The first thing I do is shut my blackout curtains so that I'm not getting any light pollution from outside. I live in Manhattan, so this is crucial."

STEP 2

"I set up my humidifier. I like Canopy because it has a filtration system and doesn't require too much maintenance. It gets so dry in the Winter especially — I notice a big difference in how I sleep with this."

STEP 3

"Time to turn on my Eight Sleep system, which is a cooling mattress topper. In addition to wearing my Arid Blayne cooling and moisture-wicking pajamas, this helps with my night sweats so I wake up cool and rested."

STEP 4

"I swear by Dr. Diamond's skincare line. It's a four-step routine that has absolutely transformed my skin, and the packaging in ingenious. I'll make sure to take my makeup off and do this no matter what so I wake up with fresh skin."

STEP 5

"Get into my Arid Blayne pajamas and get out of my contact lenses. Once I'm wearing my glasses and favorite set, I'm ready to go to bed."

STEP 6

"Brown noise machine: on! There's so much commotion in the city but this trusty thing drowns it all out. I even travel with mine, it's a total life saver."
